Days 4 & 5

The real fat burn starts today… On the fourth morning I weigh 3.3 kg less and my waist has decreased by 5 cm!… Why? How? Seriously?!?!? The explanation is simple – I have effectively emptied out my digestive system of foods, the microbes that were surviving on sugar and potatoe chips are dying (and exiting the body) and I’m probably drawing out stored water as well. I am also less bloated (hence the decrease in waistline).

By emptying out your system you are doing something wonderful – you are allowing the bugs that line your intestine to re-build their population (some of them eat other dead bacteria!) and build up a good protective mucus layer which will help your system function as it is supposed to.

My water intake has progressively increased over the last few days, keep up the intake – your kidneys will thank you as they are working hard along with your liver to detoxify your system.

Skin problems? Toxins are oozing out of every pore, this is a good thing though! Your on the home stretch now, so stick with it.

Days 4 and 5 are basically the same but we can change-up a few things so it doesn’t get too boring (see below).

Survival Tip : Delay your breakfast for as long as possible! Yesterday (Day 3) I woke up feeling super-charged with energy so I went for a walk (10,000 steps) and didn’t eat breakfast until lunch time. So my ‘lunch’ became my afternoon snack. This has 2 massive benefits: firstly as all my calories are coming in the afternoon and evening I don’t get the afternoon slump and feel quite full for the rest of the day; and secondly it gives your gut a longer ‘rest’ period without food.

Day 6 and 7?

If, after the first 5 days, you still have symptoms and wish to continue I will post out instructions for days 6 and 7 – the biggest change is that we are going to cook a Super-food stir-fry to have for lunch. To keep this simple head into Coles and get a large pack of their pre-chopped Super-food stir-fry vegetables (in the fridge section of the fruit and veggie area). You will also need olive oil and soy sauce for cooking.

In week 2 we will begin adding in animal proteins in the form of smoked salmon (or trout) and eggs.

Days 4 & 5
We continue with between 700 and 800 Calories per day. It is very important that you don’t have more than 800 Calories. Drink plenty of water. If you feel light-headed you might need to sprinkle your veggies with a little salt (we have taken out nearly all the salt from your diet and we are salt water creatures after-all).

Before Breakfast – 1 shot (30ml) of Apple Tonic Vinegar diluted in 1/2 cup water

Wait 20 minutes before you eat anything.

Breakfast:
125 g punnet blueberries
125 g of berries (Strawberries/blackberries/raspberries)
for something different you could add in 125 g of ripe black cherries instead of the berries
75 g Low fat greek style yogurt
Black tea or coffee

Mid-morning
50 ml Vanilla Kefir
15 g Macadamias (stick with your almonds if you like them better)
Black or herbal tea, black coffee

Lunch:
1/4 Avocado (if you don’t like the taste put a little lemon juice or some vinegar on it) OR 1 serve of olives
140 g Pawpaw
Black Tea or Coffee as you need it

Afternoon:
50 ml Kvass
Herbal Tea (no caffeinated drinks after lunch time please!)
(if you hit the wall you can either bring your dinner forward OR eat 1/2 an unripe banana – just remember that having the banana will add in both calories and carbs, so try not to have it if you can… and only have half!)

Dinner:
125g tin of mixed beans mixed with a table spoon of Apple Tonic Vinegar (I like to soak the beans in the vinegar for a couple of hours before I eat them so they soak up the flavour)
1 Steamfresh vegetable bag (follow the instructions for reheating in your microwave)

Evening:
Cinnamon-Orange-Rooibos Tea (this tea might help you sleep better)
10 g of 70 % Dark Chocolate (1 square of Lindt)
