- 15 Almonds
- 4 1/2 Macadamias
- 1 1/2 squares of Lindt 70 % dark chocolate
- 10 large green olives (marinated in herbs and drained)
That’s what a 100 calorie snack looks like. When you are just starting out on this way of eating, the snacks are kept very simple and are actually intended to contain a high amount of natural fat. You won’t be taking in much fat from other sources, so we look to these snacks to help keep the ratio of fat:carbs:protein in check.
Don’t eat nuts? 60 g of Avocado will also give you a 100 Calorie snack.
As more foods are introduced the options for 100 calorie snacks increases. I will post these out in the future….
Happy snacking!
